FLOYD NCEBA SIZANI
Floyd Nceba Sizani known as Da Great was born in Pimville Soweto on the 4th of February 1980 and grew up in Winterveldt North of Pretoria.His talent was identified early, he was inspired by his father who used to sing all kinds of songs for him and even recorded some on a small tape recorder .At some stage he was a member of a school choir and continued to display his talent. During 1994 he teamed up with Wiseman Shongwe one of the members of the well known Pretoria Gospel group Exodus and called themselves Wise Guys, they did a number of live shows around Pretoria and won the first round of Shell Road to fame in 1995 a talent search programme. He is among a group of young stars inspired by Kwaito star Arthur Mafokate, he then started making demos and submitting them to different record companies hoping to get a recording deal. Things started changing in 2001 when they came to the attention of Mack Mashabane who was then with Creative Kingdom. They changed their name to Abolova when another member called Thabo Sebola joined them, they released few albums which included songs like Verstaan, Phinda mzala, Shelela a couple of their songs got a reasonable amount of airplay. Among artists they shared the stage with are B.O.P, ARTHUR, REVOLUTION, ISHMAEL, THEBE, BONGO MAFFIN,ALASKA this made them popular. In 2004 he opened his own little studio and decided to concentrate on the production side of the business, he produced Exodus’s album called Praise the Lord, it was followed by Dj-Kza Vs Da Great called House Explosion volume 1 those were followed by Bizzy-K, Tazman, Baker and Tiger Sgandavu, his latest production is that of Thuli Sibaya and the Gospel Evolution called NGIZOHLALA NGIZOHLALA NGIKHULEKA from the greater Ekurhuleni due to be out at the beginning of summer together with Emazweni House project featuring the song Monate. A number of projects are done under the banner of One Wish Entertainment which handles marketing, promotions and distribution.
